I LOVE LOVE LOVE this video monitor. I really don't know how we ever survived without this!!! The picture quality is fantastic even in the pitch dark. Clear color during the daytime and converts to black and white in the dark. I would have given 5 stars, except the sound is a little quiet. It does have an awesome beeper alarm function that beeps like an alarm clock (can be turned off) when the monitor detects sound or movement for longer than about 45 seconds. I LOVE that feature.

My husband laughed at me when I bought this. But he is now the first one to show it off whenever we have people over.

I went through a few baby cams before I bought 2 of these ones!!! There is no static and the pic is crystal clear... At night, when it is too bright there is a feature to turn off the video, but there is also an alarm if your little one gets out of bed, the video will automatically turn on. Plus, you can still just listen which is great! I love this feature because I bought it for my 3 year old who kept fooling around at nap time and bed time. And I bought another one for my newborn. 5 Stars all the way!!!

I am quite pleased with this monitor and its overall performance. The signals are strong and the screen is clear. Best of all, it doesn't interfere with other signals (like most other monitors). Overall, this is an excellent deal! Well worth the price and highly recommended!

After going through several monitors, this one is GREAT!!! As a first time monther it gives me a peace of mind. The picture (which is a large screen)and quality on it are wonderful and it is worth EVERY penny. I highly recommend this product for those having a hard time finding one. I also want to add that the other monitors I have tried had horrible interference and this one actually works!! EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!! Very happy mother!!!

I have been VERY disappointed by this monitor. If I unplug the screen, I have to reset the video camera, which sometimes wakes up my baby. It completely defeats its own purpose. The video screen often has static, and it is so lightweight that it falls over very easily. I would recommend that you seek other video monitors if you are considering buying this one. It costs way too much money for the poor quality.

I read all these great reviews of this monitor and I agree that the clarity and reception was very nice **BUT**, not 2 minutes after I put the batteries in the camera, it got extremely hot. I opened the battery compartment and had to pry melted batteries out before it could do any more damage. And yes, I put the batteries in correctly but still, it shouldn't overheat so quickly. The plastic got warped and needless to say, I wasn't about to use it near my baby. Worked fine with the a/c adapter but I wasn't going to risk it. After calling the company's "help" line and getting an ANSWERING MACHINE and leaving numerous messages (and not leaving a message a few more times) I gave up and returned it to Target. They still haven't returned my call after 3 days. A product used withing such close proximity to babies that potentially melts would be a little higher on my "return call" list but apparently it's not a big deal to Baby Vision... I'm sure I just got a rare, defective monitor but please be careful if you already own one of these or are expecting to own one soon.

During the first few months, i used it everynight, sometimes i would wake up and take a peek at it to make sure my baby is breathing and well, cuz im deaf person, so i can't hear baby's breathing or movements, this helped me! Now, i use it occasionally during visiting or camping or while im busy chatting with company, i can always take peek and see what my baby is doing in other room, so i dont have to run back and forth.
And the great thing is that its very visuable at nights! It's good size monitor!

I purchased this item online and have used it a handful of times. The handheld monitor turns on whenever it wants to. I have to leave it off for an extended period of time so that it resets otherwise, I cannot use it at all. I was very disappointed with this purchase and am upset that I'll have to end up returning the item. When it works properly I actuallly love the quality of the image and it is so easy to use. It's going back to the store because for the money, it needs to work consistently and not sporadically.
